Studio Policy
At Absolute Velocity, our goal is to provide a positive, professional, and supportive environment where every dancer can learn, grow, and thrive. To ensure the best experience for all students and families, we ask that the following policies be observed.
Registration & Enrollment
Enrollment is available on a first-come, first-served basis and class placement is determined by age, experience, and instructor recommendation. Registration is not complete until all required forms and payments have been submitted
Attendance
Consistent attendance is important for dancer growth and class progression. If a student will be absent, please notify the studio as soon as possible.
Dress Code
Proper dance attire and footwear are required for all classes. Specific dress code requirements can be found within each class description or provided by the studio.
For safety reasons, hair must be secured away from the face and jewelry should be kept to a minimum.
Class Placement
Absolute Velocity reserves the right to place dancers in the level that best supports their development. Instructors may recommend moving a dancer to a different level based on skill, technique, maturity, and class readiness.
Tuition & Payments
Tuition is due according to the payment schedule established during registration. Late fees may apply to overdue balances. Accounts with outstanding balances may be restricted from participation in classes, performances, or events until payment arrangements have been made.
Makeup Classes
Makeup class availability is subject to scheduling and instructor approval. Makeup classes are not guaranteed and must be arranged through the studio.
Parent Observation
To minimize distractions and support student focus, observation policies may vary by class and age group. Please contact the studio regarding observation opportunities.
Health & Safety
Students who are ill, experiencing symptoms of contagious illness, or unable to safely participate should remain home until they are well enough to return to class.
Photography & Video
Photographs and videos may be taken during classes, performances, competitions, and studio events for promotional and educational purposes. Families who do not wish for their dancer's image to be used should notify the studio in writing.
Conduct & Respect
All students, parents, instructors, and staff are expected to treat one another with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Behavior that disrupts the learning environment may result in disciplinary action or dismissal from the program.
Schedule Changes
Class schedules, instructors, tuition rates, and studio policies are subject to change as needed. Families will be notified of significant changes whenever possible.
